JDPH offers sport horse training with an emphasis on dressage basics including balance, straightness, contact, rhythm, impulsion, and finally collection. 
Each horse receives individual attention and is treated as an athlete.  The horse/trainer relationship is based on mutual respect and time and care is taken in developing the horses natural ability to perform. 
Boarding in a state of the art facility is available for those enrolling in either a lesson or training program.  JDPH offers a nurturing, friendly environment for both you and your horse to learn in.  We have all ages of both riders and horses here, most of them starting out in dressage and/or eventing.  It's a fantastic environment to relax, learn, and grow!

Lessons are offered to enhance not only your seat, but also your understanding of how and why we, as riders, affect our equine partners.  Riding lessons focus on the harmony that creates a partnership with your horse and how to effectively communicate your 'aids' to the horse.
It is preferred that you either board your horse on premises,  or trailer your horse in, so that your lessons can help you develop the partnership with your own horse.

"I've ridden hunters, jumpers, gaited horses, western pleasure,  reiners, cow horses, and trail horses.  I have NEVER been in love with a discipline like I am with Dressage.  The principal, the harmony, the skill... it is the most challenging discipline and I so enjoy every little victory! 
My immediate goal is to educate others and lay a proper foundation on which they can build their future.  It is such a wonderful experience to have whether your long term goal is to event or just enjoy your buddy. "
